Created as a museum that integrates the garden, architecture, and artwork, the Nezu Museum has an undulating, lush Japanese garden setting within its premises. The café that nestles quietly, with its large glass openings and eaves, appears as if it were part of the garden. It has a tranquil atmosphere where one can feel the changing of the four seasons, which is rare in the city center. Designed exclusively for this café by Kengo Kuma, the NC chair of a very simple form, a backrest with a gentle arc and slender legs extending out from the flat thin seat surface, is in perfect harmony with nature.
