We are delighted to announce Nobuhiko Tanaka’s third solo exhibition at Time & Style Amsterdam, marking his return to the city after a four-year interval since his last appearance. With three decades of experience, Tanaka’s artistic expression has evolved, incorporating his iconic colored vessels and innovative techniques rooted in tradition.
 
His work has since garnered international recognition, attracting both art enthusiasts and culinary connoisseurs, including collaborations with renowned chefs and restaurants worldwide, such as Noma and establishments in Tokyo, Paris, and Switzerland.

Join us on September 19th for an engaging talk event featuring Nobuhiko Tanaka in conversation with Swiss chef Ralph Schelling, as they explore the artistry and techniques behind their work during the opening. We look forward to welcoming you to this unique and captivating exhibition.

Nobuhiko Tanaka
 
Nobuhiko Tanaka, born in 1966 in Nerima Ward, Tokyo, graduated from Rikkyo University in 1990 and completed a ceramics course at Kyoto Prefectural Ceramists’ Technical Institute the following year. After developing his expertise at a ceramic atelier, he established his kiln in Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture, in 1994. Tanaka actively participates in numerous exhibitions across Japan and Europe, earning recognition for his exquisite tableware, which is embraced by chefs and culinary professionals worldwide.

Ralph Schelling
 
Ralph Schelling is a leading figure in the new Swiss cuisine, blending diverse culinary traditions with high-quality local ingredients. A Swiss Culinary Cup winner, he has trained under renowned chefs like Ferran Adrià at El Bulli and Heston Blumenthal at the Fat Duck. Now showcasing his skills in private kitchens and at events worldwide, he explores international gastronomy to refine his craft while sharing insights through his columns for Monocle.
