Location: Messe Frankfurt Fairground
Booth no: Hall 4.1 F02
We will exhibit at Ambiente, one of the world’s largest international consumer goods trade fairs,
where tableware, kitchenware, interior accessories, and other lifestyle products come together from around the world. While we have exhibited in the Living Hall since 2009, this year we will change our location to the Dining Hall
to introduce tableware incorporating traditional technologies from around Japan. In areas from ceramics to lacquerware to glassware,
Japan has many artisans with high-level skills that have been passed down through history.
Together with like-minded artisans from all over the country, we continue making endeavors toward new traditions in craftsmanship.
Now, amid high levels of interest in Japanese culture and traditions around the world,
we hope to give rise to products with both practicality and modernity and to create new value for Japan while valuing
the essence of the technologies and materials. We also plan to announce tea utensils designed by Tomoko Azumi for the enjoyment of fragrant sencha tea.
We have placed Hizenyoshida ware houhin tea pots, teacups and hot ware cooler pots from the tea producing region of Ureshino,
Saga Prefecture, in boxes of Japanese hinoki cypress.
Held every February in Frankfurt, Germany, Ambiente is one of the world’s largest international consumer goods fairs.
Positioned as the most important trade fair in the consumer goods sector, the exhibition brings together tableware, kitchenware,
nterior accessories, and other lifestyle products from around the world, and hosts business discussions among manufacturers,
trading companies, and designers from many countries.
Traditions, crafts, and other elements of lifestyle culture based on unique aesthetics, handed down since days of old,
remain deeply rooted in modern lifestyles in Japan. Today, Japan values traditional culture and technologies while
also developing industries such as technology, fashion, design, and pop culture, with coexistence among diverse lifestyles.
JAPAN STYLE is a project that communicates to the world lifestyle patterns along with everyday design
that fuses Japan’s unique lifestyles with craftsmanship holding high aesthetic awareness. Time & Style will be exhibiting at “Ambiente” again this year as a member of “JAPAN STYLE.”
